Curriculum Developer and Lead Instructor - Founder Bootcamp

About the programme
ML4Good has run over 30 bootcamps with around 600 alumni across several continents. We’re now building a new one-week residential Founder Bootcamp for people who want to start AI safety organisations or ambitious field-building projects.

Detailed role description

We're looking for someone to join the curriculum development process with our programme lead.

We’d prefer to hire one person working about 2 days a week. We’re also open to people who can work about 1 day a week, in which case we may hire two people.

Bootcamp content

The core aim of the bootcamp is to give people the support, AI Safety context, and motivation to enable them to found an impactful organisation in the AI safety space.

The scope of the role

We’re hiring someone to design the curriculum for the bootcamp and lead its development, working with Ihor Kendiukhov, the programme lead.

This contract covers curriculum development and planning only. It runs from mid-October 2026 to February 2027. We expect to ask you to teach at the in-person bootcamp in Spring 2027, but that will be a separate contract.

What you’ll do as curriculum developer

  • Decide the structure of the week and the main session themes, working with Ihor and our curriculum advisors
  • Research existing formats for incubation and founder training (e.g. BlueDot’s incubation week, CE/Ambitious Impact, Catalyse Impact, Seldon Labs)
  • Design and write sessions. For example: choosing a problem, interviewing stakeholders, building a first version, theory of change, and getting funded
  • Find and brief advisors (founders, funders and people running AI safety organisations) to give short talks and office hours
  • Build links with other incubators, funders and fellowships so participants have clear next steps after the bootcamp
  • Outreach and sourcing of participants
  • Help set the selection criteria for participants
  • Draft the bootcamp timetable

Who we’re looking for

You should have:

  • Experience founding an organisation, or working in an early-stage start-up, incubator or accelerator
  • A good understanding of the AI safety ecosystem: the main organisations, funders and open problems
  • Good contacts among founders, funders, and operators in AI safety

It would help if you have:

  • Experience teaching, facilitating or running workshops
  • Experience designing a programme or course

Team

  • Ihor Kendiukhov is the programme lead. You will work closely with him.
  • The ML4Good core team will handle logistics and participant selection.

Logistics

  • Hours: about 16 hours a week (2 days) is ideal. We can be flexible for people who can only do about 8 hours a week (1 day). You can split the hours across the week however suits you. Other flexible arrangements may be possible.
  • Compensation: €2,000 a month for 2 days a week, or €1,000 a month for 1 day a week.
  • Contract length: October 2026 to February 2027
  • Location: Europe - ideally able to work in London and Europe
  • Deadline to apply: Please apply ASAP. We will review applications on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early. We'll close applications on the 26th October
